In the final days of the war, during the Battle of Berlin in 1945, Hitler married his long-time mistress Eva Braun. To avoid capture by Soviet forces, the two committed suicide less than two days later on 30 April 1945 and their corpses were burned.[5]
Very interesting and ironic date matches. The death of bin Laden has arose a world of controversy across social networks. Interestingly enough, many people have shown remorse for the death of the man that was the pivotal leader in the thousands of death on American soil. I have heard on Channel 2 News today an interview with a brother of one of the pilots that flew one of the planes on Septemeber 11. His quote, "I wish we could have captured him and not killed him." He went on to state that he was not a man that believed in taking another man's life and that he understands that if captured and not killed would have been far worse. The lines in social media have been all over the map. Here are some to ponder.
Just curious...does anyone feel a genuine sense of sadness at the fact that a human life has been taken...no matter how seemingly justified?
Nope not a bit!! People like him don't understand or care that we are a good and caring nation that wants peace, all they understand or care about is ending our way of life so in this case NO
The Military Doesn't Judge Terrorist...God Does...The Military Just Arranges The Meeting...
im pretty tickled,he murdered innocent children also.
His orders murdered...he was just an agent of evil. Noticed he was not the one that volunteered to take over and fly the planes. The murderers died with those we lost. We have had more of our own lost trying to find two men and bring order and peace in a foreign country. Where is the order and peace in our own country? Will we not have another occurrence like this in the future? Of course, we will. We will always be under attack. And to be frank, how does any of us know 100% for sure it is him that is dead? I am not into conspiracy theories but just adding fuel to the fire with that statement. I am very torn about this whole situation. I am very proud and have many family and friends who have served our country! I am very upset we have had to lose some of those soldiers for what we on this side of the war do not see any gain. Yes, one evil man has been allegedly caught and killed. But are we so insane to believe there isn't 1,000 more that Osama personally groomed and trained???
Osama Bin Laden has reportedly been killed... this is going to be one bueno Cinco de Mayo!
And so I hung my American Flag out today, not to honor the death of Osama Bin Laden but to honor America, we have had ten years of changes, to our security, to our soldiers and just how we look at each other and other countries but I dont think its over not by far. I believe and I am scared that this is just the beginning of something really, really bad. May God have mercy on us all.
Do not gloat when your enemy falls; when he stumbles, do not let your heart rejoice, Proverbs 24:17
My daughter had a tweet from one of her friends that said it was sad that all of America was rejoicing that someone had died. She kind of agreed with that. These are 14 year olds thinking this.
not sure what to think. Since when does our military put a dead body out to sea? The families who lost loved ones deserved their day in court to see him pay. If we were so close to him that he was shot in the head, why didn't we capture him? Struggling with this but I know who is in ultimate control so that is who my hope is in.
As you can see, many different thoughts and many different opinions on the death of the most infamous man in modern history. We want to know what you think?
