Did you know that you are required to have a permit before hosting a garage sale or other type of rummage sale in the City of Franklin?

The basics: Permits are free! Call 746-9921to apply. Sales can last up to 4 days and can occur between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Each household in Franklin is allowed to have up to 4 sales per twelve (12) month period.

Information about signs:
Do not place signs on utility poles (such as telephone poles) as this poses a serious safety threat to line workers.

Garage sale signs are to be a maximum of 9 square feet and are to be placed on private property after gaining permission of the property owner first. Signs within the right of way will be removed.
