Last minute FG defeats the Wildcats.

Franklin travelled Germantown last night on a dark dreary rainy night and had a hard fought offensive struggle.  The Valley View Spartans defeated the Franklin Wildcats 9-7.  The Spartans kicked a 29 yard field goal with only four seconds left to send the Wildcats home in defeat.

Franklin's only score came off of a 17 yard pass from Ben Sizemore to Dylan Salyers in the 2nd Quarter.  In the 3rd quarter the Spartans scored off a run play but missed the Extra Point leaving Franklin in the lead.  But with only 4 seconds left in the game a FG put the Spartans ahead and stealing the game from the visiting Wildcats.



Valley View's win moves both Franklin and the Spartans to 5-2 overall and 2-1 in the SWBL.



Franklin will host SWBL foe Eaton next Friday at the Atrium Stadium.
