Franklin took to the field last night versus visting Eaton and took a commanding 14 point lead.
Eaton's Quarterback Austin Fudge threw two interceptions that led to the Wildcat scores but Fudge took a kickoff 86 yards for a score before going out of the game injured. Backup quarterback Micah Hickman for Eaton kept the ball on one series and scrambled for a 36 yard score making the halftime score Franklin 14 - Eaton 12.
Out of the locker room of halftime, Eaton forced a fumble on the opening kickoff and two plays later, Dalton Caudill scored one of his three TDs giving Eaton an 18-14 lead.
On the next series Franklin drove deep, but fumbled again, giving the ball back to Eaton. Franklin fumbled once more and also missed two field goals in the game. Franklin lost the game 30-20 tonight giving up a giant opportunity and lead to the visiting Eaton team.
Eaton (6-2, 4-1 SWBL Southwestern) came in 13th in Division III Region 12 in the Harbin computer rankings. Franklin (5-3, 2-2) was eighth.
