
Last night after the game, we reported the Franklin Wildcats redeemed themselves from last week's stunning loss to Carlisle by taking out their frustration on Ross 34-18. Our Wildcats move to 1-1 overall on the season.
In last night's action, the first quarter Dylan Salyers had a one yard run for the go ahead score and Jordan Pruitt kicked home the extra point.
In the second quarter, both teams exploded with offense. The Wildcats were quick to strike first with a 27 yard gallop by Eric Hildenbrand and a Pruitt extra point! Franklin 14, Ross 0. Ross then explodes for a 32 yard pass from QB Danny Lane to Erik Geiser and Corey Wigal kicked the extra point. Wildcats 14, Ross 7. Then, Hildenbrand got his hands on the ball yet again and scored on a 11 yard run and Pruitt added the extra point. Wildcats 21, Ross 7. But to close out the wild second, Ross marched all the way down to the Franklin 22 and from there closed the half with a Wigal 22 yard field goal. Franklin 21, Ross 10.
The third quarter Franklin went back to Salyers who stormed down the field from 86 yards away scoring the only touchdown in the third. Pruitt added the extra point. Franklin 28, Ross 10
The fourth was much like the second quarter. Both teams scoring fairly easily. Franklin scored again first on a Ben Sizemore 9 yard pass to Saylers but Pruitt failed to convert the extra point. Franklin 34, Ross 10. Ross then tried to make things interesting by scoring in the fourth on a Geiser 7 yard pass to Casey Vatter and then another Geiser pass to Cole Stalker for the 2 point conversion.
