FRANKLIN – Handbell soloist Kristine Stout will appear at the Franklin First United Methodist Church on Sunday, August 30, 2009, at the 10:30 morning worship service. She is from the Joybell Theater and Gift Shop in Nashville, Ind.

Kristine plays 3 octaves—that’s 37 bells—of English handbells by herself. She has appeared all over the United States and performs her Christian show daily at The Joybell Theater in Nashville. Kristine combines traditional handbell weaving techniques with a special form of ballet.

In addition to the bells, Kristine also writes and performs all the arrangements for her digital keyboard orchestral accompaniments. During April through November, Kristine performs “Joy Un-Speak-a-bell!” daily at her theater, The Joybell Theater and Gift Shop, 79 N. Van Buren (PO Box 4 59), Nashville, Indiana 47448.

After Thanksgiving Kristen performs her Christmas show, “Joybells to the World!” daily at the theater whenever she isn’t traveling. A tour schedule is available at her website, www.joybelltheater.com.

First United Methodist Church is located at 303 S. Main Street, “Under the Green Steeple.” Call (937) 746-5232 for more information or directions. The public is invited to this program. The church is handicap accessible.
