Hey everybody!I’m not a 16 year-old anymore, as of Friday I’m a year older, one more year and dad says I'm on my own. I think he's kidding... or I hope so. Tuesday I did an autograph signing and kids night at Chick -Fil-A. It was nice talking with all those kids about racing. They also enjoyed sitting in the back up NASCAR Whelen Late .

We thought the new car was going to be done, but it wasn’t, so instead of not having a car there for the kids they asked that we bring our backup car. That’s why I had to miss my weekly radio show at the Rebel 105.9. As you all know this car made history by being the first NASCAR Whelen late model in Ohio to set fast time with a female driver and lead for twelve laps in the feature the next week. It’s hard to look fast and be fast without sponsors. Kind of the chick and the egg delimna. Go fast or look fast? We are getting more people joining the Rebel Racer’s and just got Drake Heating and Cooling, so we are going in the right direction. Anyway, the new car is coming along. There are five to seven guys working on the car every night. I’m so blessed . This will be the last week to get your name on a brand new NASCAR Whelen Late model race car, so hurry and don't miss out.Dad asked me what I wanted to do on my birthday and I said go to Kil-Kare and watch the USAC Midget race. You should have seen his face. I’m sure he thought I'd say shopping or something else. I wanted to go because Shannon MacIntosh was racing her Ford Focus Midget and we used to be team mates. We also got to see the winged sprint cars. WOW! They were fast and looked fun!!! Shannon's race was next. I think she started seventh or eighth, but she made quick work of the cars in front or her and got it up to third. I thought I saw Megan. She races late models down south. I was hoping we all could get a picture together, but I could not find her.Saturday we finally got to get a race in Columbus, the last two weeks we were rained out. The winged sprints where also there and they were going to do the fireworks. Practice was going good. I was three tenths fastest and looking to make the bottom side of the inversion which would have put me up front. We took tire temperature after the practice and they matched what I was saying about the car, it was good, but kept getting tighter. We talked about adjusting it and decided to try since there was no heat race to fix that. Unfortunly, it was too much and I dropped a tenth and a half, missing the inversion. I was supposed to start in twelfth position, but some guy must have got confused and got in front of me. They started the race before I could get it figured out. As luck would have it, he got in a wreck with the seven car and as I swerved to miss it but my nose went under his tale and broke my radiator cap. It happened so fast my dad didn’t see it. The car wasn’t hurt except for a little paint and the radiator cap. Well," racing racing" or that, Gary always says.I hope you all don’t mind, but I need to start mentioning my partner, because of them and people like you I can keep racing and make NASCAR history every week and have something to talk about. Dempster Tire, Springboro Hardware, Line X of Dayton on Conover, Salon One Twenty Two, Koehike Components, Green Pro Services, Estes Oil Sales and Sign-a-Rama in Springboro. The Rebel Racers are growing and people are signing on. WE now have Susan Carmack of Maryland, Adam Lewis, Joan Manning, Dawn Mummey, Joyce Sumner, Cameron Trenum, Terry Wells, Dr. Mel Rocqumore and Matt Wilkes are all Rebel Racer partners, and Dennis Dwyer, Joyce Sumner, Mark Kottke, Sloan and Lisa Cromwell from Louisville KY, Al Tutoil, and Jon Keene are following me on the newsletter.
